Continuity One settlement stretches across the Martian plain in the Hohmann Corridor universe

ADAM VAHN PRESENTS · THE HOHMANN CORRIDOR TETRALOGY

Three worlds.
One owned road.

Orbital mechanics set the constraints. Ownership decides who gets to live inside them.

UNIVERSE BRIEF · PUBLIC EDITION

The horror is not that the future is strange.
The horror is that the future is familiar.

No rogue machine creates the danger. The technology is old and ordinary to the people using it. The pressure comes from contracts, categories, transfer windows, dashboards, and the authority to decide what the system is allowed to count.

EARTH · MOON · MARS

A sequence of doors.

Each port teaches the same lesson more quietly: movement is power because delay can always be called inspection, routing, safety, or prudence.

PORT ONE · OWNED MOUTH

Hainan builds the route

A launch city joins rockets to universities, housing, contracts, medicine, customs, and political prestige. Ownership does not need a deed when refusal has become impractical.

ROUTE STATUS · OPERATIONAL
Residents walk through the bright central atrium of Continuity One on Mars
Continuity One: a real home inside a proprietary survival machine.

PROVIDENCE PLANITIA · CONTINUITY ONE

A real home inside a proprietary survival machine.

The public city sells gardens and glass. The lived city is ducts, pressure doors, clinics, schools, workshops, queue logic, and the people who know which temporary bypass became permanent three years ago.

Physical total
Every body requiring air, water, heat, food, sanitation, and shelter.
Civic total
The public figure after provisional and transient people fall outside the boundary.
Air rank
An operational category that functions as class, inheritance, and discipline.

Owned passage
against shared repair.

01

Physics becomes policy

A Hohmann transfer window opens on geometry's timetable. When affordable passage is rare and one institution controls fuel, berths, and priority, the solar system can do the holding without anyone building a prison.

02

The machine is being polite

Dashboards, models, and ledgers can remain technically accurate while leaving out the single fact that would make a moral emergency visible. The lie requires no intention.

03

The wrong question

The dangerous model is not necessarily wrong. It may answer exactly the question humans taught it to ask—after the excluded people have already vanished from the denominator.

04

Truth by synthesis

No expert holds the whole picture. The investigation works only when medicine, engineering, logistics, maintenance, archives, and worker experience are allowed to contradict and complete one another.

FOUR BURNS

The tetralogy.

The engine widens from a physical discrepancy to a fight over passage, authority, and the shape of shared survival.

The Breathing Class

Evidence

A survivability audit asks whether the settlement's reserves and population can both be true.

The Oxygen Debt

Leverage

The next passage widens the question from a calculation to the society built around it.

03Forthcoming

The Sovereign Orbit

Authority

Paper sovereignty meets the physical control of ships, depots, propellant, traffic, and communications.

04Forthcoming

The Last Window

Verdict

Earth, Moon, and Mars confront the oldest imperial question: who owns the road?

The Breathing Class

In the perfect city on Mars, the air you get depends on who you are.

A survivability auditor arrives to certify Continuity One and finds missing life-support parts, double-counted oxygen, and a class system hidden inside the settlement's survival calculations.
